by the time we arrived in Pindaya the few touristy restaurants closed. we went to this local hangout, had amazing shan noodles (haven't found it anywhere else). no one spoke english, we pointed at stuff, & it'll remain one of my fav places19 views

some of the 9000 buddha statues inside the cave. some have been there since the 11th century. unfortunately, recently it was decided to paint these statues in gold and red, which destroyed their beauty19 views
