you can see the crab at the center of the pattern. they run out, scoop up sand into little balls and place them into rows... filtering the sand for food i assume.

one of my young teenage cousins, Yasser, died in the ocean a few years ago. this life guard station (behind us in the photo) was built in his memory

you could find these immense trees "bot gaach" all over the villages of bangladesh at one time

old Burmese khyang, a Buddhist temple, in the village of Ramkot (near Cox's Bazaar). the temple is built on top of the hill - we chatted with the monk and other people there who were all very nice

the "Bara Khyang", old Buddhist temple in Lamapara (near Cox's Bazaar). this is next to a little town called Ramu which was once a capital of the Burmese Arakan kingdom for 3 centuries
